Totally relate about the food addiction and the all/nothing personality. It's one of the things that makes us good at learning new things all the time but bad when we become obsessed! Although with your weight loss that's a good obsession.

Also totally related to dinner with friends. So often when I have a really good dinner party it's something that's very casual and low key, where you do just enjoy each other's company and have some good low maintenance food. Those are the moments I think we all remember and appreciate the most.

Jeff... thanks, I will definitely talk more about the restaurant in the future. I agree with your mom. We have a fairly small kitchen, but it doesn't stop everyone from crowding in.

Hi Lisa, thanks for sharing the story. Kids and ice cream, how could you go wrong.

Natalie, you look great, don't worry about a thing. Thanks for always supporting my blog!

Strawberry gelato--can't wait for that post! I have a great memory of holding my little niece while she ate a pretty big bowl (for her) of strawberry ice cream. She didn't share even one bite with me, but she was so happy enjoying it I didn't mind!

Congrats on the weight loss!!!!!

How could you go wrong with a night consisting of good food, good wine, and even beter friendships bonding over those two things. My mom said it best that her next house is going to be 75% kitchen and 25% rest of the house because everyone wants to be around the food.

Your bolognese sauce sounds amazing btw and another vote for restaurant stories.

Wow Joe, congrats your your weight loss! I love hearing stories like that, very inspiring. It takes so much work! I feel like I look really pretty good, but always feel like I would love to lose 5-10. I should probably just knock it off and cut myself some slack. I hate the deprivation almost as much as I hate exercise! The problem for me is inconsistency. I do really well one day and blow it the next, but at least I am not gaining!

Anyway, yeah, you have your challenges, but kudos to you for really doing it!
